"Will Rogers once said he reckoned an economist's opinion was about as good as anybody else's. In other words, their opinion probably does not mean anymore than yours or mine when it comes to predicting how the economy is going to perform.

So, with Will Rogers comment in mind, here is one man's opinion of what will happen in North West Arkansas in 2011.

We have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country which is very positive. We have a corporate foundation such as Wal-Mart, J.B. Hunt, Tyson Foods and many others that are the envy of most parts of the country. And, we have an entrepreneurial spirit that tends to look at the glass half full.

If we can add and increase in consumer confidence to these factors, I think 2011 has the potential for modest economic gain."
