Little Rock AR. August 30, 2008 - Hank’s Fine Furniture, an icon in Arkansas, is opening the doors of their largest showroom in 33 years. Hank Browne, President of Hank’s Furniture Inc., realized many furniture manufactures were not represented in the state, this realization spurred the concept of Hank’s & More Fine Furniture. “Some manufactures who design beautiful furniture could only sell to Arkansas through catalogs or by out of state purchases. By having the furniture that Arkansans have come to love for 33 years and an additional showroom to display lines that have not been available, is the best of both worlds for our customers.”
Some of the added galleries are Thomasville, Bernhardt, Kincaid, Henredon, Lexington, and Hooker. The Thomasville gallery is the largest in the state. Some additional sections have also been added, such as the International Rug Bazaar. In this section we offer rugs from around the world. Home Work, which displays our home office furniture, Café Lulu featuring Starbucks coffee, and work areas for outside designers are other additions that our customers love. Browne says, “Designers have already told us that with over 1000 special order fabrics available, they are happy to have a resource all under one roof.”
And what a roof it is, the 80,000 square foot building is not only a new concept on the outside; but the building itself was built to be the most energy efficient in the state. “We must be the ‘greenest’ furniture store in the Mid-South,” says Browne, “From the heating and cooling, to the track lighting, to the adhesive in the carpet, we have made a concerted effort to conserve as much as we can, wherever we can.”
The official Grand opening is September 13th, 2008 at 10am. A benefit for Arkansas Children’s Hospital will be held at the store before the grand opening day.
